As a culture we have moved into a world of "girl power" but how this truly translates is "boys are stupid, throw rocks at them". We, as women, are not longer expected, let alone supported or encouraged, to be what God created us to be.
The Bible says that a virtuous woman is worth far above rubies (Proverbs 31:10). What an exclamation! What does virtuous mean though? What is God calling us to be?
While it is easy to get caught up in the doing of life, trying to achieve all the things on our to do list, it is easier still to lose sight of the heart he calls us to have. That is where we will figure out what he is calling us to be! That is attitude! That is character!
As we begin this challenge, we will be studying our way through Proverbs 31. Our first focus will be on our heart, our attitudes, our relationships with God. We will then shift focus to the "doing" part of what God has set before us. None of us will ever be perfect, but if we use God's word as our guide in our lives, we will be richer for it.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Blessings to all of you and I will see you Sunday for our first Bible study post!
