Teaser and What I Do When I Have a Sick Little

In the meantime, here is a recipe I use for my little ones when they are sick:

1 cup bone broth
1 clove garlic (smashed, then cut into pieces)
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon turmeric
pinch of good quality salt
a few grinds of fresh pepper
a pinch or two of nutritional yeast

Mix together all but the cut garlic and warm on the stove. Put the garlic in the bottom of serving cup and pour liquid over.

This helps to boost their immune system and ease the cough as well as nourish their little bodies when they are not eating much.

Another recipe I use is

1 cup water
1-2 tablespoons lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
pinch cinnamon
pinch clove
pinch good quality salt
pinch ginger (or small cut piece of fresh ginger)
1 teaspoon turmeric

Mix together and warm on the stove.

Lemon water is wonderful for keeping the body hydrated while apple cider vinegar helps to settle the stomach.
